All about Artificial Intelligence
If you are among those who think that
AI or Artificial Intelligence
is only in the movies, think again. With the current research going at breakneck speeds, it is no surprise that scientists are coming up with newer and more advanced prototypes of machineries, which are integrated with artificial intelligence.
Biometrics is one of the common examples, which are encountered, in most people’s day-to-day activities. Be it fingerprint, face or iris scanner, technology is advancing day by day.
Another avenue where this concept has found purpose is in the military. Many models have been designed for the benefit of the top brass in the military, which helps them make the most correct tactical decisions. However, these machines can only assist in the decision making process as of now.
Before we discuss about terminology such as fuzzy logic and neural networks, let us consider another upcoming branch in this field, which is the Robotics. Robots have been assisting in the work of humans since quite a many years now, and their intelligence has been upgraded ever since then. Computer aided designs are these days helping people make the right decisions in all spheres of life. Robots are also being used to access those places such as mines where humans may find a risk to their lives.
Coming to the concepts of neural network and fuzzy logic, the former is a system capable of replicating the human mind and the decision making process. Fuzzy logic unlike binary logic, does not just deal with 0 and 1 but with other aspects too. Human mind has been compared to fuzzy logic as no two men may respond the same way to a common stimulus. Hence, as of now, scientists may take a little more time than anticipated to create complete artificial intelligence but the way progress has been, it may be pretty soon that machines may begin to make decisions on their own.
