The famous white wine Chardonnay is made from the chardonnay grapes. Chardonnay wine is best relished with chicken dishes, sea food and dishes containing an abundance of butter and cheese. If it is processed without oak the result will be a soft wine exuding mineral flavors. It is best matured with oak as it then exudes succulent flavors like caramel, vanilla and butter.

The chardonnay grape is also associated with champagne and other exquisite wines. This grape is so popular that its cultivation area is about 140000 hectares worldwide, mainly in Australia, Italy, France and America. Chardonnay wine has dominated the world market and wine connoisseurs will settle for nothing less.
