Diet And Your Breathing
 
 

The important point to remember here is that whatever you eat, you will breathe more deeply. Some foods will affect your breathing more than other foods. Also there are some individual differences in the degree of effects noted in different people.

All foods increase the depth of your breathing, due to the digestive process. So your breathing is going to change, there is no escape. The strategy is simple: when your breathing is bad and the symptoms are present, eat as little as possible and eat the foods that impact your breathing minimally.

Remember, the problem is related to your breathing, so this is where you should focus chiefly to aim for recovery. Your shallow breathing practice plays an important role than anything else, including diet.

The foods that increase breathing the most are animal proteins, animal fats and refined sugars. This consists of chicken, beef and other meats, and milk products. Plant proteins and fats do not cause much harm. Nuts, beans, berries and other fruits can have a strong effect on breathing of some people.

The rule is to limit animal protein as far as possible, and note your breathing after eating. Always lower your breathing after eating to lessen the impact of the food. Once your breathing has been accustomed to retain a higher CO2 level, the food will not affect you much.

Till then, restrict or avoid consumption of meat, along with all dairy foods. Soymilk is very rich in protein, and only slightly less harmful than animal milk in terms of breathing.

Another important food that raises your rate of breathing very strongly is alcohol. If you have asthma symptoms, shun alcohol. If you have doubts, just measure your pause before a few drinks, and follow the process afterwards.

Important Rule of Food

If you are not hungry, avoid eating. If you do not experience hunger, your body is not ready for food, and the digestion will be inefficient. If you are doubtful about your hunger, it is better for some time.

In the first week of training your breathing, especially if you have symptoms, follow this rule strictly. Do not worry if you do not eat for many days. But hold on till you feel hungry. If you eat less, your breathing will improve rapidly.
