Does jogging trim my abs?

Jogging is an overall body exercise which helps in not only losing fat in the tummy, but also in thighs, chest etc. Jogging for atleast 30 minutes a day would help in losing fat and trimming your abs. Usually the upper part of the tummy starts losing fat first and in some time the lower part of the tummy also loses fat, which can be felt. Along with jogging it is necessary to do other ab exercises, push ups, pull-ups, weight training etc, to lose weight quickly.

Jogging is one of the finest exercise programs, as it yields a lot of benefits. Jogging helps in stimulating your heart rate, relieving stress, toning your muscles and also prevents a number of aging problems. Jogging also increases stamina and energy levels. It helps burn calories and makes a person completely fit. Jogging is a natural exercise like walking and it does not have any side effects or creates health problems compared to other exercises.

Jogging should be done in soft track and not in a hard one as it could lead to joint pain. You need to start jogging slowly and increase the speed and time. If you are overweight then you need to start walking and then slowly switch to jogging otherwise you could face knee problems.

You should always stretch your muscles before you start jogging. Stretching is very much required to prevent injuries. Do not hunch your body and remember to swing your arms naturally while jogging.
