With the advent of genetically engineered foods, it is advisable that we humans shun this type of food. Here is why.

Always follow the same advice you offer others when it is the matter of feeding your dogs. Avoid processed dog foods. Just as you don’t feed your kids conventional soy, don’t feed your dogs any foods or treats containing soy. Most of our soy and soy derivatives today are genetically engineered or “modified”. Research indicates about 99% of the conventional soy available today is genetically engineered.

Genetically engineered foods have become an issue of concern for many as research shows that GE foods are changed and may cause to difficult-to-detect allergens, poisons and mostly new diseases. Other traditional foods that could be genetically engineered are corn, cotton and canola.

So tell kids and others to be aware that most of the foods we're eating are genetically engineered. 55% of rat pups who were fed genetically engineered soy died within 3 weeks of birth.

You may start checking more thoroughly the ingredients listed on the labels of the dog food.

Another thing, organic foods are not genetically engineered!
