Getting A Good Nights Sleep
A
good night’s sleep
is essential for your health and to increase your feeling of relaxation. Follow these suggestions to combat mild insomnia.
First, don’t spend time worrying in your bedroom. Leave all your work outside the bedroom. After you come home, forget all your work related worries. A problem cannot be solved by worrying about it. Better get a good night's sleep and attack it when you are fresh after a good rest.
Begin your day with a cup of freshly brewed chamomile tea that is easily available at the grocery shop or the supermarket or the health food store. Chamomile is a wonderful calming herb that helps you relax. Take a bottle of pure lavender oil and pure geranium oil too. When used together, they provide a delightful relaxing effect that can help you sleep.
Having a nice warm bath in the bath tub when the day is over, is the surefire way to soothe the tension. Fill the tub with water and pour a few drops of lavender oil and 1 drop of geranium oil into it. Spend time scrubbing yourself thoroughly all over. Pamper yourself completely.
If you don't have a bathtub, shower using your preferred shower gel. Once you finish, wipe yourself dry and then soak your feet. Fill a basin with warm water, and pour a few drops of lavender oil and a drop of geranium oil into the water. Now sit on a comfortable chair and dip your feet in that water. A footbath offers the same relaxation as a full body bath.
Once you are through, apply your favorite moisturizer. Then clean and dry your hands and treat yourself to a foot massage.
Massage below each toe with your thumb. Now pinch and massage the skin between your toes. Make a fist with your right hand and run down the sole of your each foot with your knuckles continuously for a minute or more, if you wish.
Now it is time to sleep. Select a comfortable mattress. Change your bed sheets every week and mattress after some years.
You do not want the cold to wake you up in the middle of the night, so snuggle up below a comfortable, warm comforter, forget everything and let your mind wander into the dreamland.
