How to Do Commando Sit Ups
Commando sit ups
are a testing exercise for adults and an enjoyable exercise for children. They are a more intense and all round abdominal workout for an adult looking for change from the basic sit up.
Commando Sit ups
are excellent for groups of children as kids can perform them with their friends as partners. Trying to learn the coordination to do the exercise properly offers lots of fun for the kids instead of themonotony of a regular sit up.
Steps
1. Commando sit ups can be performed either alone or with a partner. Here we discuss how to do it along with a partner as this method is applicable to both adults and children.
2. Your partner kneels down on all 4s and acts as the base and anchor for you to perform your sit ups.
3. Bestride your partner like a horse. Your front feet should be close to your partners hands. Your legs should be on either side of your partners head and you and your partner should face the same direction.
4. Sit on your partners back and lean back till the back of your head is in touch with the ground. The small of your back should be slightly outside your partners rear end.
5. Put your fingertips on your temples and begin doing full sit ups. Go back down try to gently touch your head to the ground. First start by doing a set of 5. It is a tough exercise workout for your abdominal muscles as well as a test to retain your balance on your partners back.
6. Try to do sets of 20 and then change your places.
Tips
· Kids ejoy doing Commando sit ups since they devote plenty of time falling off each other’s backs in order to get proper balance.
· Kids are usually closer to the ground to minimize any harm themselves if they fall off the partner’s back. However they must be supervised while doing this exercise.
Warnings
· Adults are more likely to get hurt doing Commando sit ups as they are far away from the ground at the time of fall. Try doing this exercise on mats to avoid hurting yourself.
