Steps
1. Exercise your shoulders. Do movements like the military press, the Arnold press, lateral and anterior shoulder raises, push-ups and, rotator cuff exercises. The correct procedure for these exercises is available on the internet and in books.
If you cannot do that, do push-ups and military presses using dumbbells. The correct method is to hold the dumbbells close to your ears, such that your upper arm is parallel to the floor and your forearm pointing to the ceiling, and the arms bent at about 90 degrees. Push both the dumbbells up at the same time and then bring them back to the initial position. This is is 1 repetition; do 8 – 12 repetitions with a right weight.
2. Perform cardiovascular exercises. The best option is running and sprint training is a lot more time saving and effective than jogging. Do it 3-4 times per well and always take a day off for recovery. Running burns fat from your middle, giving your shoulders a wider look.
3. Stand straight and wide. Attempt to keep your shoulders high and back and tighten your abs. Posture can significantly change the way you look.
4. Swim. Swimming burns off fat and affects practically every muscle in your body, and just about anybody can do it.
Tips
* Wider shoulders give your waist a smaller look and in turn, a smaller waist increases the width of your shoulders.
* As your your waist looks smaller, your shoulders will get a wide look after tucking in your shirt.

* Prior to beginning any exercise program, it is recommended that you consult your doctor. Besides always stick to proper form, get information from a qualified gym trainer or from other reliable sources.
* Don't do too much too soon in the beginning. Exercise patience. Don't worry...very soon the results will be evident.
