Icicle Lights For Decoration
Icicle lights
are an excellent way to decorate your home during Christmas. They add beauty and grandeur to your home. Using icicle lights to decorate your home and Christmas tree will induce the Christmas spirit of joy and excitement in your home. As lights form the traditional aspect of the Christmas season, icicle lights make a great choice.
These fun lights consume 5 or 7 watts per bulb and are long-lasting than any other types of lights. As they consume less energy, they save you money. But while going out, always switch off the lights. This can be easily done by using an automatic timer to regulate the use of your lights both within and without the house. But ensure that the timer can handle the total wattage of the whole lighting.
Safety should form the crucial aspect of Christmas decorating. The lights that you buy should fulfill the criteria of the Underwriter Laboratories (UL). Select the lights that meet your requirements. If you plan to use the lights outside, select the lights meant for outdoor use. Check the lights to find any faults in the cording before you go on decorating. Take care not to overload the electric circuits. Today many homes can easily handle up till 2.400 watts.
Remember hot light bulbs can set your dry tree branches on fire. Hence if you have a real Christmas tree, ensure you keep the lights on only when you are around. Keep the strings of lights and other cords away from the water.
Icicle lights
when hung from the gutters and eaves of your home look brilliant. You can hang them on window frames and anywhere at home to make your home look great.
If you do not want icicle light, there are other methods of decorating Christmas tree. Use edible ornaments like popcorn, cranberries, candy canes, and gingerbread men to make your tree look brilliant. Burning candles is also excellent, but exercise caution.
