Internal Hemorrhoids and Bloodstains in Stools
 
 

Hemorrhoids are of various types based on their location on body or indications. They are chiefly divided into 2 kinds – internal and external. Hemorrhoid situated within the rectal area is called as ‘Internal Hemorrhoid’. Here we describe the causes, indications and methods of treating internal hemorrhoids.

The chief cause of internal hemorrhoid is believed to be pressure exerted on veins of internal rectal region at the time of passing stools. The blood contained in varicose veins of rectum is clotted and causes internal hemorrhoids.

Problem or barrier while passing stools and presence of bloodstains in stools is regarded as the main indication of internal hemorrhoid. But also it does not mean that each instance of stool blood signifies hemorrhoid. It can indicate any other ailment. Your doctor will check the actual cause of blood stool after conducting medical tests. In some instances you will see hemorrhoids bloated to some degree that bump protrudes from anus. Such disorder is called as prolapsed hemorrhoid. You may confuse prolapsed internal hemorrhoid with external hemorrhoid because of its manifestation outside the rectal area.

There are many kinds of means available for curing internal hemorrhoids. These means comprise of rubber band legation, injection therapy and infrared coagulation. Surgery might be required if there is painful and very big internal hemorrhoid.

Disorder of suffering from spasms and strangulation of internal hemorrhoids from anus is known as external thrombosis. It causes severe pain.
