Soaking the infected part for 15 minutes for 2-5 times per day can remove the residual fecal matter and give relief from the pain and itching. Sitz bath can be taken in a bathtub or a special basin.

Hemorrhoidal creams and ointments are available to can cure itching. Use one having 1% hydrocortisone or witch hazel extracts. Also read the labels and instructions properly before using any cream on the infected part.

Various homeopathic medications are available to avoid and ease yourself from the itch. Nux Vomica is generally applied for itching, painful hemorrhoids, and chronic constipation.
