Swiss Exercise Ball Routines
 
 
 
Today Swiss exercise balls have become commonplace in gyms and fitness clubs. They are excellent for building up abs.

If you are unaware of the Swiss exercise ball, then these are few of the routines. You can perform them by including few twists in your exercise routine to simulate the nervous system.

1. Push–ups

Based on your preference, you can make this exercise quite simpler or harder by using a Swiss ball. To simplify things, lie with your face down. The Swiss ball should support to your hips.

To make this exercise more complicated, crawl forward and let the Swiss ball reach your feet.

2. Alternating Superman

Lie with your face down on a Swiss ball. With your toes and fingertips achieve balance. Then, lift one leg and its opposite arm and keep them up parallel to the floor. You must keep your arm at an angle of 45° and lift your thumb up.

For the advanced version, just simply lift yourself above the Swiss ball and fly like Superman. Do net allow your arms or legs to be in touch with the ground for even a minute. This exercise is definitely excellent in obtaining balance.

3. Whole body Swiss ball exercises

It is the ultimate exercise to obtain functional training for bending muscles and joints.

4. Forward Swiss Ball Roll

Do this by kneeling behind the Swiss exercise ball and keeping your forearms on it. Then, start inhaling and drawing your umbilicus inside and next roll forward performing synchronized motion at your hip and shoulders joints. But take care to ensure you go only as far as you can and keep proper spinal alignment.

Other kinds of Swiss ball exercises are the Supine Hip Extension and Knee Flexion and the Supine Lateral Swiss Ball Roll.

For safety and effectiveness in carrying out Swiss exercise ball workouts, always examine your ball and the place for your workout. Remove any small pieces of stray objects such as thorns, tacks, staples, grit, etc. Any of them can puncture your ball and destroy your enthusiasm for the exercise.

Moreover, if the floor is pretty slippery, always use an exercise mat. You must also avoid the ball from sliding below your body while performing exercises with it.

Like any other gym workouts, ensure you have done the necessary warm-ups. Performing workouts by using Swiss exercise ball is interesting and assured method of remaining fit, provided you exercise caution.
