Tips to Remove Dye From Hair

Hair can be dyed either for fashion or to cover grey hair. It changes the natural colour of the color of your choice. However, while dyeing, it is possible that some colour may drop on the places you do not want like face, clothes or floor. Here we give you both the commercial as well as home products to remove the dye safely.

Commercial products:

Color Fix from Jheri Redding removes unwanted permanent hair color, and using limited quantity will let you alter the color from specific areas, either completely or partially.

Loreal Color Zap removes all permanent hair color gently. It is the best choice for color correction, erasing of dark shades, smudgy, uneven results or the excess color. You can re-dye the hair immediately. Loreal Effasol Color Remover erases permanent hair color, preparing it for recoloring. You can use it either with water or developer.

Jerome Rusell's Punky Color Punk Off is a gel that is easy to use and removes the hair dye stains from the skin.

Roux Clean Touch is used to clean hair color from skin and scalp. It is very gentle preparation and is effective on clothes as well.

Home remedies:

Hot Oil treatments, hairspray, shampooing and washing with water will remove hair dye over a period of time.

Prepare a small quantity of bleach mixture and add 2 tablespoons or more of shampoo in a cup. Stir it and apply it to the hair to remove traces of hair dye or to wash off the color instantly. Knead the hair, starting from the roots and ending up at the ends and then back

Black hair dye poses more of a problem. It is very difficult to remove it completely from the hair, especially the permanent one. The simple solution is to simply let your hair outgrow the dye. Avoid bleaching as it may damage the hair, making it stretchy and thin, so that they break off easily when you comb.
