	Tips to buy Futon Frames

If you want to save the space in your room by using sofa that can be converted into bed, futon is your best choice. Futons have two types of frames viz. a bi-fold frame and a tri-fold frame. A bi-fold frame is either a double or a queen sized and can be converted into a sofa by folding it vertically. A tri-fold frame is usually double or twin sized and can be converted into a sitting tree with a seat, a backrest and place to keep your feet.

Futons are made of a wide range of materials. Go for a frame that will be easy to fold and unfold. But at the same time, it should be strong enough to withstand these movements. Always test the frame before purchasing by changing it from bed to sofa and vice versa. A visit to the furniture shop will also introduce you to a range of stylishly designed frames. Some offer exquisitely designed arm as well as back supports. Others offer spacious room to rest your legs. You can get wooden frames with multi-colored stains or you can choose a frame of your choice and can get it stained as per your choice. Multi-colored metal frames are also available which can be re-painted to suit the color of the room where you plan to place the futon.

While selecting the futon, consider the size and the décor of the room where you plan to place it. Consider the type of people or pets in your house, as that will enable you to choose the right frame. E.g. with kids and pets around, stains is the most common problem. With metal frame, it is easy to wash off the stains, while a wooden frame may get damaged. Your personal preferences also play a major part in determining the choice of frame.
