Most often, we spend a lot of time and money on decorating only those rooms, which are open to outsiders. What we fail to realize is that our bedroom is equally important too.

It may feel like a Herculean task to decorate your room at one go, so I suggest that you make small changes gradually. Since walls are the most obvious structure in your room, decorate it with paintings or similar pieces of art, which can be easily removed if it doesn’t suit you. Your own artwork is a better and an economical option than buying expensive paintings. You can decide the themes according to what mood your room exudes. For example, floral patters give a feminine look, while prints of animals and plants provide a tropical theme. A collage of your personal photographs ranging from your marriage to children to vacations is a great idea. There are firms, which may make these collages at a price, but I feel its more fun doing it by you.

Another option is to dry and frame leaves to accentuate the presence of plants in your room. All these ideas are just the tip of the iceberg. If you set your mind on it, the sky is the limit. Don’t be afraid to try new things. If it fits, good enough, otherwise you can always put it off your walls.

Decorating your bedroom is a favor to your own self. And if the last time you did your bedroom was when you moved into it, its time you did yourself another favor.
