The presence of tropical waters, awesome beaches, dashing waves, and evergreen rain forests, makes Fiji an ideal vacationer's paradise. The Fiji Islands are a great place to participate in some of the best water sports in the world, along with some of the best historical and tropical vacation activities.

On your trip to Fiji, be ready to get drenched. As Fiji has crystal clear waters along the beautiful, soft sand beaches, surrounded by palm trees and other green vegetation, it has become one of the topmost tourist destinations. Swim in the warm ocean waters all day long throughout the year. Dive or snorkel to enjoy some of the marvelous underwater sights of Fiji. The Fiji Islands house the world's third largest barrier reef and you cannot escape diving or snorkeling on the reef to view some of the most beautiful marine life found in the world. There are many shops that provide lessons for beginners, or refresher lessons for those who have lost touch. Besides you can get great surfing here or simply lie down on the beach and enjoy some sun. You can also go on a guided tour of the islands and the neighboring ocean, a deep sea fishing expedition, or hire a boat yourself to go out exploring.

The beaches on Fiji will give you the marvelous ocean views from the land. Natadola beach is one of the most famous beaches on Fiji and should not be missed on your trip here. Though this beach is being rapidly developed, you can lie back to soak up the rays while viewing the surfers ride the waves back to shore. The soft sand and beautiful views make this beach an ideal place to spend the day. As this beach has undergone a lot of development in recent times, there are great restaurants and shops that you can enjoy.

The warm tropical waters are the main attractions of Fiji. But it is not the only one. There are many other attractions of these islands. The Sigatoka Sand dunes in the Fiji Islands are the biggest sand dunes found in the South Pacific and offer plenty of attractions. These dunes house some of the best sand bottom waves and surfing found anywhere in the world, and has attracted sand surfers from around the world. Besides these dunes are marvelous archaeological and historical sites too. If you are not very fond of sand surfing, go for an archaeological tour to this place.

The islands of Tavarua, Mamanuca, and Namotu offer some excellent beaches and surfing experiences. There are long stretches of reef lining both these islands in Fiji to provide ideal conditions for surfing, diving, and snorkeling, and are regarded by some to be the best waves in the world. There are surf shuttles to pick you up from your hotel or resort, take you to the best surfing destinations on the island, and then drop you back home in the evening.

Though surfing is one of the most popular activities on the Fiji Islands, there are many other things you can enjoy. Beginning with the rich culture and history to the local villages and shopping, you can be sure you will find a lot of exciting outdoor adventures to enjoy, while staying at some of the most exotic hotels and resorts found in the world.
