Partial, Mini or Lower Tummy Tuck Scar: This surgery leaves only a scar in the form of horizontal line across the lower abdomen. There is no scar in the navel region, as the process does not involve altering the navel’s position, so it is not highly visible.

Other Factors Involved in the Process: There are many other factors that affect the prominence of the scars after the surgery. Usually, liposuction and tummy tuck are done simultaneously, which can cause some amount of skin irregularity. Though rare, bleeding or infection can also make the improper healing of scar.

Tips to Reduce the Severity of a Tummy Tuck Scar: Follow the recommendations given by your doctor to speed up healing like dressing up in compression clothes as they have been shown to speed up healing. Give up the substances that can hamper with the healing like smoking, aspirin and alcohol. Let nature take its own time to heal the scar.
