Vitamins that help hair grow

After 30, a person’s hair weakens and begins to fall. However growth of hair depends, to a large extent, on a diet that provides us with the necessary nutrients. Hair growth is hampered by conditions such as stress, illness and gross neglect. Unhealthy hair manifests itself as being thin and lifeless.

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

Nowadays there are products containing the required vitamins and nutrients that can be applied externally like oils and shampoos; or there are tablets that can be taken internally to enhance hair growth. However oils and shampoos do not have a lasting effect. Tablets are more reliable. For stronger and long-lasting tresses it is advisable to use modern products like Shen Mir, Hair genesis, Fast Grow etc. Information on hair care products is available online. It is advisable get a professional opinion before trying out any one of these hair products.
