Which Cell Phone Plans to choose
Cell phones
are one of the must-haves in today’s world. Whether you are a student, a businessman or a housewife, you will find carrying a cell phone very convenient in case of emergencies. Once you have decided to go in for a cell phone, you need to shop around for the cheapest plan.
Do not be misled by the companies advertising lowest tariff or offering lots of goodies when you subscribe to their service or other advertising gimmicks. These tricks do not turn out to be the cheapest in the long run. To find the cheapest plan, you need to calculate your usage of your mobile. Then you can add the freebie that the phone company is offering you and decide on the right plan for you.
Cell phone plans come in two types: prepaid plans and monthly billing plans.
Prepaid plan is the plan where you pay a certain amount in advance and then use the phone as you need till the entire amount that you have paid in advance is used up. You can then add more minutes to your plan by paying extra. This is an excellent plan for emergencies and leaves you with the smallest bill for infrequent user.
For heavy users, opting for the monthly billing plan is the best. Many companies offer low charges for mobile to mobile talk, free talk time, certain number of free SMS etc. Few companies give you a free mobile phone when you sign a service agreement with them.
Look into all these factors before opting for a cell plan. A right plan will leave you with the smallest bill at the end of each month. This is the cheapest plan and not the ones marketed by the cell company.
